Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

Do you share my images?

Our #1 priority is to make sure that clients are comfortable, especially with something so important/intimate such as boudoir! It can be a life-changing experience, but that also makes it nerve-wracking and not all love the idea of their art being public! This is something we discuss during our consult. Everyone is in different places with loving thier body. Some have found after our shoot they were over the moon for the world to see their work, and some arent quite ready yet! Both are ok… If we wanted to share any of your images we would ask for permission and be thrilled that you would allow it. Otherwise, your work %100 private, or only used to preview to future clients during the consult. We use a team of paid content models for social images to keep our posting regularly.

Do I have to wear lingerie?

You do not have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality and your vision for the shoot… In fact, some of my favorite sets have been simple MyCalvins styled sessions, or feature of all things, DENIM! Not typical for your boudoir session, but that is what makes this experience unique. We cater this session to what YOU envision for YOUR shoot, then match our location to fit.

Do you Photoshop my images?

It is my personal belief that in order to truly love yourself, we can’t continue to manufacture a belief that skin doesn’t have texture and imperfections don’t exist. While I do edit out blemishes, bruises, rough spots, and things of that temporary nature, I do not make image nip/tuck image alterations so when you get your images back you know that the person in it, is %100 YOU. That being said- I have shot boudoir for a year and had clients of all shapes and sizes- understanding how to style, light, and pose the human body is something I take great pride in.

What is your studio like?

For almost a year we had a studio but kept learning that various clients always had a unique vision for the style of the shoot they wanted. We have had tremendous success with finding spaces to rent that match the pieces you’ve selected or fit the vibe you’re going for. Some clients also request studio-styled backdrops. We can collaborate to come up with the perfect space to shoot in… Even if it’s in our client’s personal home!

Do you offer digitals?

Of course! You can choose to do the matching digitals with an album like mentioned on our pricing, get them with a Package, or just purchase all your digitals as an A La Carte option. There are lots of options to choose from .

How many outfits should I bring?

I recommend that ladies bring between 4-6 outfits. That way there are some choices, as well as extra outfits in case any of them aren’t a good fit day of photoshoot. Another suggestion I have is to always choose something that pushes your limits… Sometimes the piece you thought was the boldest might become the most gratifying part of the experience once you see yourself crush it in your photos!

I can’t make my shoot date, can I reschedule?

Absolutely. Things come up and sometimes a date no longer works, so we’re happy to make the changes for you. You can reschedule your shoot once without penalty with a minimum 14 days notice. If you need to reschedule with less than 14 days notice, there will be a surcharge of $175 to rebook hair and make-up artists. However, the session retainer is a non-refundable deposit.

What is your refund policy?

Due to the custom nature of photography, the session price and any products ordered are non-refundable. You have the final say on any custom album design and nothing goes to print without your approval. The session retainer/deposit is also non-refundable.

Can I bring my significant other? Or a friend?

This is your day. Even the most loving significant other can have an unintentional effect on us. You want to be able to move without doubt or insecurity. Unless you’re a professional performance artist, having an audience, especially someone whose approval matters a great deal, can often make us feel more self-conscious. However, I do encourage bringing a friend if that’s something that makes you feel more comfortable… But choose wisely!
